Continuing their tradition of sending tournament players to major events, Livermore Casino sent 10 individuals to the WSOP Monster Stack event in June. That was the whole final table of their “Road to Rio” playoff tournament.
Each of them received a $1,500 seat into the event at the Rio Casino in Las Vegas, along with cash for travel expenses. One of the players, Vinh Pham, even made it to the money. All they had to do to qualify for the playoff was play in one or more of Livermore Casino’s weekly tournaments.
September is the last month to qualify for their Third Annual “Race to Tahoe” promotion. Livermore Casino will be sending several of their tournament players to the WSOP Circuit Ring Event to be held Nov. 4 and 5 at Harvey’s Resort and Casino in Lake Tahoe.
Their next event begins Oct. 1 and runs through Jan. 31, 2017. Tournament players will be qualifying for a $3,500 seat into the WPT Rolling Thunder Event, held at Thunder Valley Casino Resort on March 11, 2017. Last year’s Rolling Thunder had a prize pool over $1.3 million and five winners from Livermore Casino received seats into the event.
Qualifying for a seat into any of Livermore Casino’s Major Event Tournaments is easy. In their weekly tournaments they have a point system for players who finish in the money at the final table. These points are totaled monthly during the qualifying period, which is typically three to four months.
The top 10 point earners each month receive a seat into Livermore Casino’s Playoff Tournament. If a player in the top 10 has already qualified in a previous month, the next highest point earner will receive the seat. Each month begins a new qualifying period which gives all non-qualified players a chance to be in the monthly top 10.
In addition, double points can be earned in their Sunday 11:00 a.m. tournaments, all of their Deep Stack tournaments, and also the last evening tournament of the month, a bounty tournament with a $120 buy-in. Your total points earned during the qualifying period will determine your playoff starting chips.
Because of its popularity, Livermore Casino is continuing their Deep Stack Tournaments on the third Saturday of the month. The buy-in ranges from $175 to $225, with 20 minute rounds, 15,000 in starting chips, a first place guarantee, plus double points. Sign-ups begin at 9:00 a.m. with start time at 10:00 a.m.
Livermore Casino has 12 tournaments weekly, with buy-ins ranging from $45 to $120, all with $1,000 first place guarantees. Please note that any special event tournaments will supersede regularly scheduled weekly tournaments.
