Capitol adds knockout bounty tournament

Keeping up with the demands of poker players is never an easy thing to do. With this in mind Capitol Casino is adding a knockout bounty tournament to be held on the third Saturday of each month.

The buy-in is $150 with $50 bounties. With a mind to simplifying their schedule, Capitol Casino has made all their Sunday tournaments a $120 buy-in with a guaranteed prize pool of $5,000. The Sunday tournaments have been very well received by area players with the prize pool always around $10,000.

On weekdays Capitol Casino is the place to play your tournament poker as well. Monday through Friday the prize pool averages $3,500 with just a $30 buy-in. There is one optional add-on for $30 available through the end of the first break. Entries are usually between 80 to 100 players for these weekday events, with lots of fun had by all. The winner of each weekday tournament also receives a $220 seat (added by the casino) for the second Saturday tournament.

Capitol Casino and KSFM 102.5 just wrapped up their fourth annual Celebrity Bounty Tournament, fielding 136 entries. With Waynee Wayne, Suga Bear, Juan Valdez, Megan and Bre representing KSFM, they made sure it was an awesome tournament. The buy-in is always $102 for this event and they do not see that changing anytime soon. The prize pool reached $17,800 this year plus there were bounty prizes on the disc jockeys as well as a raffle to all who entered the tournament (for an I-Home Headset—$400 value).

This summer the action in the poker room has been off the hook with the addition of their $8/16 Omaha game on Mondays and the $15/30 limit Hold’em game on Thursdays. The action in these games has been incredible. Capitol Casino also has $4/8 Omaha with half kill, $4/8 limit Hold’em with a full kill and $8/16 limit with a full kill. No-limit action includes $1/3 and $2/5 no-limit.

If poker is not your thing then you must visit the Dragon Room at Capitol Casino. With plenty of Blackjack, EZ Baccarat, Pai-Gow Poker and tiles to fulfill your table game desires.

For breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even late night dinner, Capitol Casino’s got you covered with American and Asian dishes that are sure to satisfy. They have some of the best kitchen staff in the area, so once you eat there you will see what everyone is talking about.
