Get on Road to Rio at Livermore Casino

On Feb. 1 a new qualifying period began for Livermore Casino’s Second Annual Road to Rio promotion for which they will send several tournament players to the 2016 WSOP Monster Stack event at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on June 24 and 25.

In 2015 the Monster Stack winner received $1,286,942 and a gold bracelet. The Road to Rio qualifying period will run through the end of May, with seats and travel expenses awarded to the winners of the Livermore Casino Playoff Tournament on June 4.

Qualify for a seat in the Playoff Tournament by participating in their many poker tournaments.  A point system is in place where first place receives 100 points, second place 70, third place 50, fourth place 30, and fifth place 10. The top 10 point earners each month (excluding previous qualifiers) will receive a seat in the Playoff Tournament.

Each month begins a new qualifying period which gives all non-qualified players a chance to be in the monthly top 10. In addition, double points are earned in their 11:00 a.m. Sunday tournaments, all of their deep stack tournaments, and also the last evening tournament of the month—a bounty tournament with a $120 buy-in.

Starting chips for the Road to Rio Playoff Tournament will vary depending on total points earned Feb. 1 through May 31. For players who have already qualified, they can continue to earn more points and acquire additional starting chips.

Why not take a chance at turning a $45 buy-in into millions?

Livermore Casino’s Spring into Summer poker tournament promotions began in March and will continue through August. Their limit Omaha Hi/Lo tournaments are held on the third Tuesday of every month. Buy-in is $150 with signups beginning at 10:00 a.m. and play starting at 11:00.

On those third Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. to midnight the first Omaha jackpot hit in live action will be doubled from $5,000 to $10,000. Their deep stack tournaments are on the third Saturday of every month with double points and a $2,000 first place guarantee. Buy-in is $175 for 15,000 chips and 20 minute rounds. Sign-ups begin at 9:00 a.m. with a start time of 10:00.

As part of their tradition of sending players to major tournament events, Livermore Casino sent six lucky players to the $3,500 WPT Rolling Thunder event at Thunder Valley Casino in March. One of them made it through the second day with the third highest chip stack, but sadly he did not make it to the money. Still, everyone agreed that it was a great experience.

Livermore Casino offers 12 tournaments weekly, with buy-ins ranging from $45 to $100 and all with $1,000 first place guarantees. All special event tournaments will supersede any regularly scheduled weekly tournaments. Please check their tournament listing above. On Tuesday, Mar. 15 Livermore Casino gave away $56,000 when their Bad Beat Hold’em Mega Jackpot was hit. The losing hand received $22,400, the winning hand received $11,200, and the remaining live action poker players split $22,400. The Mega Jackpot money has been reloaded and is increasing daily.

On Tuesday, May 10 Livermore Casino will be celebrating its Eighth Anniversary! Cash and prize promotions will be happening all day and night along with lunch and dinner buffets, DJ and dancing.
