500 Club sale one step closer

In January the Clovis City Council voted 4-1 to approve Louis Sarantos’ sale of the 500 Club Casino license to K&M Casinos Inc., owned by Michael LeBlanc and Kevin Barclay. Clovis’ mayor Bob Whalen was the dissenting vote.

The background check done on the new owners by the Clovis Police Department came back clean. Now they must wait for approval from the California Gambling Control Commission, which could take several months.
