500 Club tournament benefits Toys for Tots

The 500 Club Casino in Clovis raised money for Toys For Tots at a Texas Hold’em charity tournament held Dec. 15. Over 40 players participated in the event.

The tournament, which encouraged players to “go all in for kids,” featured prizes such as the year’s most popular electronics and assorted sporting goods. Participants bought in to the tournament for $40, and all proceeds from the day went directly to Toys for Tots.

Players were also encouraged to donate a toy to the charity, and the 500 Club Casino matched every toy brought in with an additional toy.

The Toys for Tots tournament is just one way the 500 Club gave back this holiday season. In November, the casino donated $2,000 in food products to Poverello House, a longtime Fresno-area nonprofit that serves the homeless and hungry.

“We’ve been very blessed as a company and we wanted to give back,” said Ryan Frazier, executive casino host, of the casino’s recent outreach.
