One of the biggest and best tournament series in Northern California is returning to Lucky Chances Casino. The annual Battle of the Bay will be held April 24 to May 2.
The first tournament on Sunday April 24 at 9:30 a.m. is the $40,000 First Place Guarantee No-Limit Hold’em Lucky Stacks with 15,000 in starting chips, 30 minute rounds and a buy-in of $600. The following morning is the Lucky Ones (Survivor Tournament) where the prize pool will be equally divided by all the remaining players when they reach the payout positions. Starting stacks are 15,000, rounds are 30 minutes and the buy-in is $350.
Tuesday and Thursday are Lucky Stacks Hold’em events with buy-ins of $350 and $300 respectively, along with first place guarantees of $20,000 and $15,000. Single table satellites to the big finale will be held Wednesday and Friday at noon for $130.
Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. will be Days 1A and 1B for the big $100,000 First Place Guarantee No-Limit Hold’em Lucky Stacks with the Day 2 finals held Monday May 2 starting at noon. Buy-in is $1,080 for this event, and players will start with 20,000 chips and play 40 minute rounds.
If history is any indication, the Battle of the Bay should provide participants with plenty of action, carnage, and excitement.
