The Bay 101 Open was once again a big hit for Bay 101 Casino in San Jose. Held Aug. 22 to 29, the seven events attracted a total of 1,145 entries with the prize pools coming to $621,910
Event #6 was the No-Limit Hold’em Main Event which had 368 players in the two Day 1s for a prize pool of $368,000.
A money deal was made when they reached the final nine survivors, then they played it out for the trophy and seat into next year’s Shooting Star tournament. The last man standing was Mitchell Greenblatt, who took home $32,990 plus the Shooting Star seat valued at $7,500.
