Capitol Casino’s no-limit Hold’em host Nicole Hoang has rounded up many of the area’s locals, as well as out-of-town big cash game players, to spread a $5/10/20 no-limit Hold’em game every Thursday night. The big game kicks off around 5:30 p.m.
Hoang said, “Most area big cash game players have trouble getting everyone together, so I decided to push for a once-a-week big no-limit cash game for them.” It seems to have done the trick, as Thursdays have been awesome, with many of the players starting off in one of their several $2/5 no-limit games (if they did not make the original wait list to start the big game), then feeding into the big game as seats become available. Anyone with questions or interest in joining this game should contact Nicole Hoang at Capitol Casino.
Capitol’s second half of the Fall Cash Fantasy giveaway is slated for Dec. 16, just in time for some extra Christmas money. They will have $50,000 total in cash to hand out that day to 38 individual winners who get their raffle ticket drawn from the barrel. To receive a raffle ticket all you need to do is receive a qualifying full house in any poker game or tournament play, show up on drawing day and hope your ticket is picked. It’s that simple. With only three months of tickets in the barrel, the time is now to get as many in there as you can, thus increasing your chances of being picked.
A major remodel is underway at Capitol Casino during which they will remain open 24/7. The Dragon Room has been temporarily relocated to the bar area and will be moved back shortly after completion. A full bar remodel will soon follow, with all new windows and a complete new exterior look including ceramic stone. There will also be some interior changes, including new poker tables.
All of this, plus the recently completed new customer parking lot, means that Capitol Casino will continue to live up to its motto of Sacramento’s #1 Poker Room for many years to come.
