Big money comes to Stones GH at Fall Classic

Overall the guarantee is $250K; Main Event $150K

The Fall Classic tournament series returns to Stones Gambling Hall in Citrus Heights. Held Oct. 12 to 21, it features $250,000 in guaranteed prize pools.

First up of the five tournaments is Win The Button on Friday, Oct. 12. The buy-in is $200 and the prize pool guarantee is $15,000. If you win the pot, you get the button for the next hand.

Second is Insanity Stack, which features 40,000 chips and a Big Blind ante structure. This has a buy-in of $400 and a $45,000 guarantee.

Next up, on Oct. 14, is Assassin’s Bounty. Buy-in is $300 and the $25,000 guarantee includes $100 bounties. This event is unique because, as tournament director Justin Kuraitis says, “The Assassin’s Bounty is the only poker tournament of its kind that lets you trade in bounties for additional tournament chips added to your stack.”

On Monday will be the $15,000 guarantee Classic Mix Max for $200. Play begins eight handed, then later draws to six handed, followed by four handed, then heads up through the course of the tournament.

All four events begin play at 10 a.m.

Tuesday brings the first two of five no-rake satellites to the Main Event. At 10 a.m. its $50 and one in 10 advance, while at 6 p.m. its $100 and one in five make it through. The following day features two more satellites with the same set ups. One more $100 satellite will be held Oct. 18 (Thursday) at 6 p.m.

Time then comes for the Main Event. It features three Day 1s, has a buy-in of $500, and a prize pool guarantee of $150,000. Days 1A, 1B, and 1C will be held Thursday through Saturday, each beginning at 10 a.m. It all gets done on Sunday, Oct. 21, starting at 10 a.m., when they begin playing Day 2.

“I am excited to bring back another Fall Classic to Stones with a fun mix of poker tournaments done only the way Stones can,” said Kuraitis. “We are topping this series off by streaming 10 days straight on Stones Live with special guest commentators Jaman Burton, Justin Hammer, David Tuchman and Lon McEachern. In addition to big special events, Stones also hosts daily tournaments at 10 a.m. Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, and at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. They also offer a second card room, The Tavern, which offers blackjack, baccarat, pai gow and other select table games.

Stones rewards their players with the Stones Card. Members earn points every time they play, then redeem their points for food and beverages while in play at the table, or directly at Sammy’s Restaurant+Bar, their full-service restaurant. Players can also choose to use their points to purchase Sammy’s Gift Cards, which are as good as cash at Sammy’s.
