Graton Resort & Casino recently gave $1.4 million to Rohnert Park. This “profit-driven” payout came in addition to the $8.5 million the casino annually pays the city to support public services.
Representatives of the city were surprised and pleased that the additional money came when it did, as it wasn’t expected to start happening soon.
The city plans to use the funds to repave and otherwise clean up 15 miles of pedestrian and bicycle paths.
