DeepStacks returns—with Mizrachi

Turlock Poker Room

The DeepStacks Poker Tour returns to the Turlock Poker Room in October, this time featuring WSOP and WPT champion Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi for the First Annual “Grinder” Open. Other DeepStacks poker pros returning include president/CEO Chris Torina and Tristan “Cre8ive” Wade.

The First Annual “Grinder” Open is a two-day event, starting on Saturday Oct. 13 at 11:00 a.m. and concluding on Sunday, Oct. 14. You can buy in for $490 in advance, or qualify for a seat in one of the Turlock Poker Room’s super satellite events. Your $490 buy-in gets you 10,000 in chips with an optional add-on of $10 for an additional 2,000 chips.

Another way into the Grinder’s tournament is by taking first or second place in any of the Turlock Poker Room’s regular 6:00 p.m. no-limit Texas Hold’em tournaments. You then qualify for a seat in their monthly $5,000 guarantee tournament at which 10 seats to the “Grinder” Open will be awarded.

The DeepStacks Poker Tour events hosted by the Turlock Poker Room in May 2011 and May 2012 were huge successes, with payouts exceeding $50,000. Featured poker pros at these tournaments included Tom McEvoy, Mike “The Mouth” Matusow, Chip and Karina Jett, and the voice of poker—Lon McEachern.

“The DeepStacks team gives our players an unforgettable experience. It’s not often that a player gets to go head-to-head with world-famous poker champs like The Grinder and I am looking forward to the action,” said Turlock Poker Room operations manager, John Silveira.
