Garlic City gets new location

Nearly 10 years in the making, Garlic City Casino in Gilroy is expanding to a bigger and better location opening soon near the outlet malls just off Highway 101.

The new 9,000 sq. ft. facility at 8630 San Ysidro will be licensed for 10 tables and will offer Texas Hold’em, 21st Century Blackjack, Three Card Poker, EZ Baccarat, and Pai Gow.

Owner Ky Phuon was hoping to find the right combination of casino floor space, kitchen and office facilities and the new place has them. “I am very excited to invite everyone to visit our new Casino,” said Phuon.

The new Garlic City Casino will have lots of TVs, a spacious gaming area, and plenty of lit parking with outside security. Their new restaurant will feature an updated and expanded menu, and the bar will have six beers on tap, plus juice and coffee.

“It still has the feeling of intimacy of a small cardroom. We see it as an oversized family den where you invite friends over to play, eat, and watch the game,” added Phuon.
