Located about 30 miles southeast of Sacramento near the city of Ione, Harrah’s Northern California opened for business on April 29, offering nearly 1,000 slot machines and about 20 gaming tables.
The Buena Vista Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians partnered with Caesar’s Entertainment to bring the 71,000 sq. ft. facility to the area. In addition to gaming options, the property also features a full-service restaurant and three more casual food options, with plans to add a hotel in the future.
Lisa Yahrling, a representative from Harrah’s Northern California, was featured in a report by KCRA-TV and said, “I would describe this as kind of modern but also fitting in with the landscape, so we’re not big and flashy outside. I think it really fits in with the laid back and relaxed feel of Amador County.”
