Man hospitalized after fight in Graton Casino parking lot

One man was arrested and another hospitalized after an altercation in the Graton Casino parking lot in September.

An argument began when Morgan Lewis, Jr’s. truck was struck by the door of an SUV. During that argument Lewis was hit in the face by one of the men from the SUV. His girlfriend was also pushed to the ground.

When Sonoma County Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene, the fight was over and no arrest made because Lewis stated he wasn’t sure which individual had assaulted them. Deputies had to return 10 minutes later though, when they received report of another fight.

Deputies were told that Lewis shoved one of the men he thought was involved in the earlier altercation, and the man fell backwards and hit his head. He was unconscious and unresponsive.

The casino declined to comment, referring questions to the Sheriff’s Office.

Lewis was charged with suspicion of felony assault causing great bodily injury. He was released on $35,000 bail.
