Stones Gambling Hall in Citrus Heights has become known for its unique events and passion for continuing to grow and revitalize poker in Sacramento and the surrounding areas. Stones most recent focus is to boost up the excitement of limit Hold’em.
The Million Dollar Limit Hold’em Event, starting on May 19, will give limit Hold’em players the chance to win $1,000,000 playing their favorite game. Players earn entries by obtaining qualifying hands in live limit Hold‘em games for monthly drawings to play in the Million Dollar Game, which will take place on Aug. 12.
The top four players in the Million Dollar Game will choose five mystery envelopes out of twenty, each containing a random card to build their hand. Prizes range in value depending on the hand they make with their cards. For example, draw a straight and win $5,000. Draw a royal flush and win $1,000,000.
The minute you walk through the door, it’s immediately clear that Stones sets the bar higher with a new type of gaming entertainment establishment. From the fireplace that greets you to the sleek bar and lounge at the back, Stones offers a first-class poker experience that is unique in the region.
Stones features two state-of-the-art cardrooms and a full-service restaurant and bar. The centerpiece of Stones is the Poker Saloon. This world-class, 17-table poker room was custom designed for the discerning player, providing the best in live action poker in a sophisticated setting. The Saloon offers a variety of cash games around the clock, including no-limit Hold’em, limit Hold’em, pot-limit Omaha, and Omaha Hi/Low. They have one of the largest Omaha jackpots in Northern California, starting at $10,000. There’s always action when you want it.
For those who enjoy the adrenaline rush of tournament action, Stones offers regularly scheduled tournaments—ranging from daily to quarterly “special events”—that are among the richest in the region.
Though Stones has been described as “the ultimate man cave,” the stylish smoke-free environment has a wide appeal, making it the perfect place for a couple’s night out. In addition to the Poker Saloon, Stones also offers a second cardroom, The Tavern, with Blackjack, Baccarat, Pai Gow and other select table games.
Later this year Stones will once again host its signature event, the Stones Fall Classic. It is 10 days of incredible poker action—starting late September and running through early October—that culminates in a guaranteed six-figure prize pool during the Main Event.
In addition you’ll find daily tournaments at 10:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, and at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Stones also rewards their players with the Stones Card. Members earn points every time they play, then redeem their points for food and beverages while in play at the table, or directly at Sammy’s Restaurant+Bar, the full service restaurant on property.
The players menu makes dining tableside a real pleasure—the Wagyu Cheeseburger and gourmet pizzas are favorites. Players can also choose to use their points to purchase Sammy’s Gift Cards, which are as good as cash at Sammy’s. Plus, Stones Card members enjoy additional benefits, like special offers, invitations to members-only events, and advanced notification of promotions and tournaments. Players can check their point balance in real time at the Stones Card kiosk in the card room.
Adjacent to the Poker Saloon is where you’ll find Sammy’s Restaurant+Bar. Sammy’s features a modern touch on classic tavern fare, paired carefully with a local brew list and hand-crafted cocktails, making it an instant crowd favorite. With 40 big screen TVs, the bar at Sammy’s has become the go-to spot for Sacramento sports fans.
