We’re just over halfway through the 2013 Northern California Poker Tournament Player of the Year contest and the action is really heating up along with the weather.
Lawrence Chow of San Francisco, who has recorded second and third places in this contest the past two years, is currently out front as he holds off two-time champion Rellie Sigua. Ian Malabanan of South San Francisco is not far behind either. For that matter anyone could potentially go on a run and pick up thousands of points as Mark Lamb did in 2010 when he took down the title.
Points are currently being regularly compiled from Bay 101 Casino, San Jose; Livermore Casino, Livermore; Lucky Chances Casino, Colma; Lucky Derby Casino, Citrus Heights; and Palace Poker Casino, Hayward. We’ve got Capitol Casino in Sacramento and Turlock Poker Room in Turlock right on the edge of becoming regulars. With a little nudge maybe we can get them and their players in on the action! Any of the casinos you see advertising in The Cardroom are eligible—all they have to do is fill out the forms when their players win and we do the rest.
