The tenth annual Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament, presented by the Crutchfield family and PokerStars and benefiting Make-A-Wish Northeastern California and Northern Nevada, will be held Saturday, May 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Morton’s The Steakhouse, 621 Capitol Mall, Sacramento.
According to Make-A-Wish Northeastern California and Northern Nevada CEO Jennifer Stolo, Morton’s partners with Capitol Casino to turn the entire restaurant into a high-energy poker tournament. “Every dollar raised at the event goes directly to granting wishes to children in the Sacramento area,” said Stolo.
Last year, the event raised more than $126,000 and Make-A-Wish is hoping to increase that amount this year to grant wishes for children in the community with life-threatening medical conditions. “This event has quickly become a favorite,” Stolo said, “besides poker, players have the opportunity to purchase tickets for quality raffle items.”
Both Morton’s and Capitol Casino have been key partners in the event since its inception. Capitol Casino supplies all tables and dealers as well as offers prizes for the final table winners. “Morton’s is thrilled to support this exceptional day of superb food, excellent wine and a great cause,” said Neil Swinney, General Manager. In addition to the presenting sponsors, the Crutchfield family and PokerStars, the event is also being sponsored by Morton’s and Capitol Casino.
This event is expected to sell out for the tenth year in a row and tickets will be on sale soon. Tickets are $275 in advance and $300 the day of the event. Tickets may also be purchased online at necannv. wish.org.
