Sweet 16 returns to Thunder Valley

The Sweet 16 Tournament Series is coming back to the Poker Room at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in March and April.

The Sweet 16 Tournament Series is running March 28 through April 15. The series offers 16 events with a mix of games and structures including Omaha, HORSE, six-handed no-limit Hold’em, and bounty events. Also for the first time Thunder Valley will be offering ante-only tournaments.

The Sweet 16 Main Event is April 12 to 15 and features a prize pool guaranteed at $200,000, with a buy-in of $1,100. All players start with 15,000 in chips and blind levels that include 60 minute levels for the majority of the event. The final table will be broadcast live on Thunder Valley Poker Room’s official blog www.pokerroom. thundervalleyresort.com.

The Tournament Series also features a $100,000 guaranteed no-limit Hold’em deep stack event April 5 to 7. Players can register for these events 24 hours a day starting March 23 by calling the poker room.

“The Sweet 16 offers a collaboration of our most popular tournaments and a full schedule of satellites for the featured events. Satellites for the $100K guaranteed Deep Stack and the $200K guaranteed Main begin March 23. The satellites ensure that every guest can play for the big money and have the chance to be featured as the winner of the Sweet 16 main event,” said Ben Erwin, poker room director at Thunder Valley. “Our tournaments have been attracting players from all over the western United States and now with the new poker blog broadcasting the final table live, everyone can experience the tournament.”

Poker players will also have a chance to win their way into the Punta Cana World Championship in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Each of Thunder Valley’s Punta Cana World Championship winners will win a prize package valued at $7,500. The prize package includes entry into the event, round-trip transportation to the Dominican Republic, an all-inclusive stay at the Hard Rock Punta Cana Hotel, along with $1,500 spending money.

Guests earn entries into the Punta Cana World Championship satellite based on live poker hours played with their Thunder Club Cards. A guest must attain a minimum of 60 hours of live poker play at Thunder Valley from March 1 through 31. Guests will earn double hours from 2:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. daily throughout the qualifying.

The popular On the Clock Four of a Kind Bonus also continues this month. Guests can win $200 to $500 for making a lucky four of a kind every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Extended On the Clock bonus hours are offered every Tuesday in March at 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
