Thunder Valley has announced its largest tournament series to date with the Sweet 16 and will once again be the place that dedicated poker players focus their attention on finding ways to qualify for the World Series of Poker’s (WSOP) Main Event. The Poker Room at Thunder Valley Casino Resort may have one of the best opportunities in Northern California, where four lucky players will win a seat at the $10,000 buy-in WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas.
Thunder Valley Casino Resort is welcoming its Sweet 16 Tournament Series running March 16 through March 31. The Series offers 16 events with a mix of games and structures that are sure to be a hit in the area, including the $60,000 guaranteed Sweet 16 Main Event on March 31.
The tournaments offered include no-limit Texas Hold’em, limit Texas Hold’em and Omaha 8 or better. The Sweet 16 Main Event features a buy-in of $385, 10,000 in starting chips and 40 minute blind levels. Thunder Club membership is required for all tournament registrations.
Thunder Valley’s WSOP Satellite Challenge will award over $88,000 in cash and prizes to 120 lucky winners. The prizes range from $100 to $2,000 cash. The four $10,000 WSOP Main Event entrants will also each be awarded $3,000 in cash.

Guests can earn entry into each satellite based on live poker hours played with their Thunder Club Cards. A guest must attain a minimum of 100 hours of live poker play at Thunder Valley from Thursday, March 1 through Friday, May 4.
Thunder Valley is excited to announce Four of a Kind Progressive Payday–a new promotion where poker room guests can win $200 to $800 for making a four of a kind every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
All four of a kind hands start at $200 each day of the promotion. Each additional hand awarded increases by $100 and is capped at $400.
