Thunder Valley sending 12 to WSOP

Now that the World Series of Poker (WSOP) qualifying season has passed, Thunder Valley Casino Resort is gearing up for the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas. This year, Thunder Valley Casino Resort is sending 12 satellite winners to compete in Las Vegas at the $10,000 WSOP Main Event, held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.

The 12 WSOP winners are Brandon Burnsed (Carmichael), Bau Chac (Elk Grove), Jason Devlin (Sacramento), Robert Grossglauser III (Elk Grove), Mike Harvey (San Francisco), Andy Ho (Sacramento), Reynan Javier (Roseville), Tony Recchia (Sacramento), Hung Sam (Elk Grove), Mario Samareta (Elk Grove), Alan Skrijel (Sacramento), and Cameron Smith (Shingle Springs).

On July 4 at 11:00 a.m. Thunder Valley Casino Resort will host a No-Limit Hold’em Independence Day Holiday Tournament with a $125 buy-in and 10,000 in chips to start. Buy-in for the First Saturday 40K event on July 5 is $300 with 15,000 chips to start. The holiday events are now drawing over 400 entries.

At the end of July, the Ante Up World Championship Series will come to Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s Poker Room. It will run from July 31 to Aug. 11 and feature a variety of games including Hold’em variations, H.O.R.S.E., Limit Omaha/8 and for the first time at Thunder Valley Casino Resort an Open Face Chinese Poker event.

These events will lead up to the $1,650 Championship Event, which has one flight, allows one re-entry and boasts a $250,000 guaranteed prize pool. On Aug. 11 at 6:00 p.m. the event will conclude with a live-streamed six handed final table by the Thunder Valley Casino Resort Pool and Bar.

The final table of the Ante Up event will also be streamed live on the poker room’s blog at http://pokerroom.thunder The Main Event winner will receive a personalized World Champion jacket. Satellites for the Ante Up World Championship will begin July 26 with multi-table and single table options.
