Thunder Valley will send 3 to Vegas

The 2012 Players Championship series at Thunder Valley Casino Resort concluded last month and was a huge success. The Championship event attracted participants from all over Northern California and Nevada, resulting in nearly 500 entries with a total prize pool of $184,500.

“The Players Championship was our most successful tournament to date,” said Ben Erwin, poker room director at Thunder Valley. “Our goal at Thunder Valley is to continually provide our loyal poker players with prizes and tournaments that no one else in the region can match and we certainly accomplished our goal. I would like to thank each participant for making the trip out to Thunder Valley and send big congratulations to our winner, Candida Ross Powers of Sacramento.”

The annual Players Championship features guaranteed winnings and low buy-ins rarely seen in Northern California. The series offered a variety of games, including bounty tournaments, Omaha, H.O.R.S.E and a six-handed event.
