The Semi-Annual Championship Series at Turlock Poker Room & Casino kicks off on Nov. 8. Ten tournaments will precede the $550 Main Event held Nov. 16 to 18.
The player amassing the most points during the 11 tournaments will be named Player of the Series and will receive the coveted prize of complimentary entry into all TPR tournaments from Dec. 1, 2018 to May 31, 2019 along with a pile of commemorative swag.
The Main Event will have two Day 1s—Friday, Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 17—both at 11 a.m. Starting stacks will be 25,000 and levels will be 40 minutes. Registration remains open until the start of level 10, and unlimited re-entries are also permitted to that point. Survivors of the Day 1s will come back on Sunday at 11 a.m. for Day 2 to play to the tournament’s conclusion.
First on the agenda, though, is a $150 no-limit Hold’em bounty tournament on Nov. 8 at 4 p.m. It features 10,000 stacks, 20-minute levels, and $25 bounties. The following day at 11 a.m. is $150 no-limit Hold’em with 15,000 chips and 30-minute levels. Event #3 at 11 a.m. on Saturday is $200 no-limit Hold’em, also with 15,000 chips and 30-minute levels.
Event #4 (Nov. 11, 11 a.m.) is another $150 bounty tournament (same as Event #1), followed on Veteran’s Day at 11 a.m. by $125 no-limit Hold’em (10,000 chips, 20-minute levels). At 4 p.m. the same day is the $40 All-in or Fold with $10 bounties (10,000 chips, 20 minutes).
Nov. 13 at 4 p.m. is $125 no-limit Hold’em with $25 bounties, 10,000 chips, and 20-minute levels. The next day is limit Omaha 8-or-better for $125 featuring 12,000 chips and 20-minute levels.
Event #9 on Nov. 14 at 5 p.m. is 50/50 no-limit Hold’em for $115, where $50 goes to the prize pool and $50 goes to bounties (10,000 chips, 20 minutes). Then comes $230 no-limit Mexican Poker on Thursday at 5 p.m. with 10,000 chips and 20-minute levels.
Re-entry to these events is unlimited until the close of registration, with the exception of Events #4 and #8.
Hold’em Radio will also be on site at TPR doing real-time live updates to turlockpoker.blogspot.com as well as hosting a Twitter takeover.
Satellites to the $550 Main Event will be held Nov. 4 and 11 at 4:30 p.m., also every night at 7 p.m. from Nov. 8 to 18. The $70 entry fee provides 10,000 chips with 20-minute levels. Re-entries are permitted for the first four levels and one out of 10 will win seats.
